Director of Children’s Ministry,  Second Presbyterian Church, Nashville  (posted February 20, 2026): Second Presbyterian Church (2PC) in Nashville is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled leader to serve as Director of Children’s Ministry. This full-time role offers the opportunity to shape and lead a vibrant, comprehensive ministry for children from infancy through 5th grade—guiding them in worship, study, fellowship, and service as they grow in faith and connection to the church community.

 
Working collaboratively with the Pastor, staff, and Children’s and Youth Committee, the Director will oversee all aspects of children’s faith formation, including Sunday School, children’s worship participation, special events, and nursery care. This leader will recruit and equip volunteers, ensure adherence to child safety and Safe Church policies, foster meaningful relationships with children and families, and communicate effectively to engage the broader congregation. The role also includes supervision of nursery staff, program administration, and budget oversight.
 
 
The ideal candidate brings a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), at least two years of relevant experience, strong organizational and communication skills, digital proficiency, and a passion for nurturing children’s spiritual growth. CPR certification and the ability to work some evenings and weekends are required. This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary of $55,000, including health benefits through the Board of Pensions and employer 403(b) contributions.
