The Special Visioning Task Force (SVTF) of the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee has scheduled Cluster Gatherings throughout the presbytery for the purpose of vision discovery! Together we want to put forth the earnest effort in 2014 to discern who God is calling us to be and what God is calling us to do as a mid-council of the PCUSA in this mid-section of Tennessee looking to the year 2020. This Spring we purpose to engage in this process of vision casting by soliciting input from ruling elder representatives of local sessions, teaching elders (active, at-large, HR), commissioned ruling elders (presently serving) and persons now serving on presbytery committees.
The churches of the presbytery have been divided into four regional cluster groupings, CLICK HERE TO VIEW CLUSTER GROUPINGS.
Each cluster is scheduled to gather as follows:
The Southern Cluster of Churches – Saturday, March 15th – 9:00 am to 12 Noon at First Presbyterian Church of Lewisburg (122 Second Avenue North, Lewisburg)
The Central Cluster of Churches – Saturday, March 29th – 9:00 am to 12 Noon at First Presbyterian Church in Smyna (540 Sam Ridley Parkway W, Smyrna)
The Western Cluster of Churches – Saturday, April 12th – 9:00 am to 12 Noon at Bellevue Presbyterian Church of West Nashville (100 Cross Timbers Drive, Nashville)
The Plateau Cluster of Churches – Saturday, April 26th – 9:00 am to 12 Noon at First Presbyterian Church of Cookeville (22 N. Dixie Avenue, Cookeville)
The members of the Special Visioning Task Force sincerely want to hear from you! The hard but necessary work of striving to discern the will of God for our corporate life and common mission in the coming years calls for involvement and input from the whole presbytery! The pledge of the SVTF is to make these gatherings a meaningful use of your time and energy.
Hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts.
– Romans 5:5
By God’s grace, each day is a gift, an opportunity for a new beginning. Through abundant and generous gifts to OGHS, for many Presbyterians have faithfully headed God’s call to serve people seeking to reclaim and store their lives.
Your gift to OGHS is a gift of hope. Your gift allows Presbyterian Disaster Assistance to restore communities around the world affected by natural and human-caused disasters. Your generosity helps the Presbyterian Hunger Program work to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in this country and internationally. Your sharing makes it possible for Self-Development of People to affirm the dignity of all by assisting in the empowerment of economically pour, oppressed, and disadvantaged people.
